This example application diagram shows a solution focused on a central HVAC module using the XC866 8-bit microcontroller. 
In this example, all HVAC flaps are driven centrally from this module. Infineon offers multiple half-bridges to provide this functionality.
 
To control the HVAC blower, this diagram proposes a solution with a Brushless DC motor using six independent MOSFETs from the Infineon OPTIMOS family. An optional electrical heater (auxiliary heating) may be controlled by a protected high-side driver (PROFET). This example contains a LIN bus connection, e.g. to a remote switch panel, provided by a TLE264G System Basis Chip that combines a voltage regulator and network transceiver.
