Global Compact
The United Nations Global Compact is a worldwide forum addressing the issues of Corporate Social Responsibility. It is a voluntary initiative and relies on public accountability and transparency, as well as the self-interest of companies, labor, and civil society to initiate and share substantive action in pursuing the principles upon which the Global Compact is based.
The ten principles of the Global Compact in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption are derived from the “Universal Declaration of Human Rights,” the “International Labor Organization's Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work,” the “Rio Declaration on Environment and Development,” and the “United Nations Convention Against Corruption.“
Today, companies, international labor, and civil society organizations from all over the world are engaged in the international initiative - the Global Compact.
Infineon Technologies joined the Global Compact in 2004.
